Inside a broken window
We were walking past a building with barred windows and a broken glass. An artist had placed this picture in the window. I thought it was interesting so took a couple of quick pictures of it.

Angels
These are some of Ann's favorites. There are angels depicted in many different ways and places all over Rome.

Rome 3
Our last district meeting with 4 of these missionaries. They are being transferred to other cities. It is hard to see them go, just like it was hard to say goodbye to the missionaries these replaced. Four new missionaries will replace them and sometime in the future it will be hard to say goodbye to them. We love associating with the young missionaries.

Villa Ada
Not too far from our apartment is a large, nice park called Villa Ada. When I was a younger missionary we used to go here to find people to talk to. It is a nice place where people go walking, running, or sit and enjoy the day. I walked over to the park yesterday for my morning exercise.

Befana
Befana is an old woman who delivers gifts to children throughout Italy on Epiphany Eve (the night of January 5) similar to Santa Claus. But children get gifts from both Santa and Befana.
In popular folklore Befana visits all the children of Italy on the eve of the Feast of the Epiphany to fill their stockings with candy and presents if they are good. Or a lump of coal or dark candy if they are bad.

Rome
This picture is from the middle of summer. Most of the trees have now lost their leaves for the winter. The last few days have been beautiful clear days, but very cold. Looking forward to 2015. Happy new year.
