Ostia

Ivy and St. Peter Sunset

 There is a lot of ivy around Rome.  It is now changing from green to red and is very pretty.  I took a quick picture of this when I went for my morning exercise walk.  I will have to look for more ivy picture opportunities.

With it getting dark earlier I had time before our YSA family home evening to try for an evening picture with a sunset behind St. Peter.  The clouds were better than no clouds, but was not as spectacular as I have seen on occasions when I did not have time to go down there to take pictures.  It looks like we might have a good sky tonight, but I will be busy and not in the area.  This spot is my favorite "postcard" photo spot in Rome.

Florists

There are flower stands all over Rome with beautiful potted plants and fresh cut flowers.  Most seem to be open very early and late into the night.  Ann enjoys buying plants for our balcony.  This little kitten was roaming around in the plants so I couldn't resist taking the picture.

Villa Borghese and lunch

Yesterday we rented bikes and rode through Villa Borghese with some other senior missionaries and Temple Construction couples.  It was a beautiful day in Rome.  After Villa Borghese a great dinner.
